Dear Friend,
Greetings! I hope this letter finds you well and victoriously living in the grace and will of an amazing Father and Lord. We live in an all too divisive world. Not just between those with opposite viewpoints on political or ideological thoughts but as believers, we have become separated. Whether it’s the style of praise and worship we prefer, a denomination that we feel is superior, or which version of the Bible is the truest, we seem to go out of our way to find the things that divide. It is well past time that we choose not to cling to the things that make us different, but rather to hold dear and close that which binds us – Jesus. We must come together!
First, we are hosting a wonderful FREE event at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 25 at 11:30 a.m. featuring Sermon on the “Mount” and Dr. Lew Sterrett, horse whisperer. This will be a performance you will never forget! All guests will be served a free hotdog, chips, and drink.
Then, please consider joining me and other followers of Jesus from different denominations and backgrounds at our 9th Annual Memorial Day Community Celebration, a day for unity and celebration of our faith and freedom on Monday, May 27 at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds starting at 4:00 p.m. There will be a classic car show, great music, delicious food from varied food vendors, fun kids’ games, and a unique gospel presentation by Dr. Lew Sterrett and Sermon on the “Mount.” In addition, enjoy a special painting exhibition by Painting Freedom and Tucker Rodkey and a time to honor our United States Military veterans and first responders. Admission and all events are free. Just bring money for food.
This is going to be a great way to kick off the unofficial start of summer! I would love to see you there.
Blessings,
