Dear Friend,
We are just a little over a week away from the 10th Annual Memorial Day Community Celebration on Monday, May 26 at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds from 12 – 8 p.m. We are all excited and ready to celebrate with so many people from the Greater Shenandoah Valley! This year’s event has been extended to eight hours, and we have attractions and fun for the whole family to include a classic car show, a mechanical bull, laser tag, axe throwing, a petting zoo, face painting, bouncy inflatables, a caricature artist, a flatfooting demo and lessons by Blue Mountain Sunrise, live music in multiple locations throughout the day, food and craft vendors, carnival-style games, a live-painting performance by Tucker Rodkey of Painting Freedom, a medaling ceremony to honor our veterans and first responders, and a much-anticipated concert by Dove Award Winner Jordan Feliz.
This year, we are partnering with Hope Distributed, a nonprofit organization in Harrisonburg that serves the area by offering free food, clothing, and baby supplies at no cost to individuals and families in financial need. Their truck will be onsite and we are asking all who attend to prayerfully consider bringing canned food items so we can stand shoulder to shoulder with them as they strive to continue their blessed mission.
It is going to be a fabulous time to celebrate faith, family, friendship, and freedom, and I would be honored to see you there!
Blessings,
