11th Annual Memorial Day Community Celebration

Join us on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds in Harrisonburg, VA, for a day of celebrating faith, family, friendships, and freedom! This is a free-admission event, and everyone is invited to have a great time from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. All activities are also FREE! Just bring your wallet to purchase amazing food from our variety of food vendors and crafts from local artisans. There will be choices to satisfy every palate and style!

This celebration will have something for the entire family. A classic car show featuring an assortment of the most pristine and well-kept marvels of the automotive industry will be on site from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Throughout the day, we will feature sensational music by local bands and crafts by local artisans available for purchase. Or come by for free pony rides, carnival-style games, various areas with age-appropriate inflatables for small children through teenagers*, a mechanical bull, a climbing wall, face-painting, laser tag, mini golf, yard games, and other activities for all ages. Local non-profits will be on-site and would love to connect with you and your friends and loved ones to share how you could receive assistance or help serve others. You can directly participate in serving the community by bringing non-perishable food items to donate to the Hope Distributed community food donation truck. All veterans and first responders in attendance will be honored in a moving tribute ceremony at 2:00 p.m. It will be a fun day that your family will long remember.

VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for individuals who are willing to be the hands and feet of Jesus and better serve our wonderful community during the celebration. Serving does not mean that you will not be able to enjoy and partake in the activities; if you want to serve for one or two hours, that is perfectly fine. We are asking for your help in any of the following areas: KidZone helper and inflatable games attendant, cruise-in registration, parking attendant, photographer, resource table attendant, and security. We are looking for craft vendors to, once again, play a major part in our 11th Annual Memorial Day Community Celebration to help us give everyone in the Valley a wonderful summer kick-off event. CRUISE-IN REGISTRATION

Calling all car enthusiasts and collectors! We want you to show off your classic or modern hotrod, muscle car, motorcycle, antique truck, or vintage car at the Memorial Day Community Celebration from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.! Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the bingo building. Each registrant will receive a $10 food voucher (one per vehicle) to be redeemed at any of our delicious food vendors.
