From Steve – March I
on March 1, 2026

Dear Friend,

As meteorological spring begins on March 1, we welcome a season marked not just by a change on the calendar, but by a quiet transformation unfolding all around us. The cold grip of winter loosens, daylight stretches a little longer each evening, and the earth begins to stir with new life. Buds appear on branches that once seemed lifeless, and fields that lay dormant slowly turn green again. This gentle yet persistent renewal reminds us that change often begins beneath the surface, long before it is fully visible.

In much the same way, spring mirrors the spiritual renewal we experience in our walk with Jesus. Just as the earth cannot force the sun to rise earlier but faithfully responds to its light, we cannot manufacture spiritual growth without abiding in Him. Scripture tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) that “anyone in Christ is a new creation—the old has gone, the new has come.”Spring reflects that promise. After seasons of spiritual dryness, doubt, or hardship, God brings renewal to our hearts. Through repentance, prayer, and time in His Word, He softens what has grown hard and breathes fresh life into weary souls.

Ultimately, the beauty of spring points us toward the hope secured through the resurrection of Jesus. The empty tomb, described in John 20, stands as the ultimate declaration of rebirth and victory over death. Just as flowers push through cold soil, our faith can rise even after difficult winters in our lives. Meteorological spring reminds us that no season of barrenness lasts forever. In Christ, renewal is not only possible—it is promised. May this season encourage us to embrace spiritual growth, trust God’s timing, and walk forward in the new life He continually provides.

Blessings,
