Celebrating the good news of Jesus Christ!
on April 8, 2025

As we continue through the 40 days of Lent and approach Resurrection Sunday, I urge you to be in a mindset of prayer and reflection. Reflect upon more than just the timeline and events between the Last Supper and the resurrection; ponder the emotions Jesus felt, the suffering He endured, and the significance of every single event. Our minds will always struggle to totally grasp and understand this level of love and selflessness. It is beyond comprehension!

Why did Jesus subject Himself to torture, humiliation, and, ultimately, death? Who benefited from His death and resurrection? Everyone. Jesus died for that guy who cut you off in traffic, for the woman who said those mean and untrue things about you, and for the person who stole from you. He died for the parent or brother or sister who hurt you and for the child who has seemingly walked away from the church and faith. Our Great Commission is to share the good news that through Jesus’s death and resurrection we have the promise of eternal life. Through repentance – turning away from sin – and trust in Jesus’s finished work on the cross we are saved.

This is why Jesus walked the path to Calvary.

In all your interactions, try seeing people through the lens of the cross.
