11th Annual Memorial Day Community Celebration

FOLLOWING JESUS IS ABOUT HAVING FUN TOGETHER AND SHOWING CARE FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Join us on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds in Harrisonburg, VA, for a day of celebrating faith, family, friendships, and freedom! This is a free-admission event, and everyone is invited to have a great time from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. All events and activities are also FREE! Just bring your wallet to purchase amazing food from our variety of food vendors and crafts from local artisans. There will be choices to satisfy every palate and style!

This celebration will have something for the entire family from a classic car show featuring an assortment of the most pristine and well-kept marvels of the automotive industry, sensational music by local bands, crafts for purchase, carnival-style games and activities for children, and local non-profits who would love to connect with and serve you or your friends and loved ones. All veterans and first responders in attendance will be honored in a moving tribute ceremony.

VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for individuals who are willing to be the hands and feet of Jesus and better serve our wonderful community during the celebration. Serving does not mean that you will not be able to enjoy and partake in the activities; if you want to serve for one or two hours, that is perfectly fine. We are asking for your help in any of the following areas: KidZone helper and inflatable games attendant, cruise-in registration, parking attendant, photographer, resource table attendant, and security. We are also looking for people to serve as counselors when individuals wish to make the greatest decision of their lives – to repent and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. There will be a virtual training event via Zoom to go over the expectations of volunteer counselors. It takes a lot of Christ-like minded people on a soul saving mission to host an event of this magnitude.  If you would be willing to stand shoulder to shoulder and serve with us, please click here.

CRAFT & FOOD VENDORS

We are looking for craft and food vendors to play a major part in our 11th Annual Memorial Day Community Celebration to help us give everyone in the Valley a wonderful summer kick-off event. Food and crafts will be available for purchase from local vendors. CHURCHES & NON-PROFITS

We are seeking to partner with area churches and Christ-centered, faith-based organizations to reach the community in a powerful way. We are asking each organization to partner fully with us in this endeavor to reach our community with the hope, love, and redemption found only in Jesus. Calling all car enthusiasts and collectors! We want you to show off your classic or modern hotrod, muscle car, motorcycle, antique truck, or vintage car at the Memorial Day Community Celebration!

Registration is FREE on the day of the event!

The Memorial Day Community Celebration would not be possible without generous sponsors.
