Woodbury Church of the Brethren Report
on October 17, 2016

Our words can bless or curse, and Steve shared this and other valuable points during his time at Woodbury Church of the Brethren in Woodbury, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, October 16. Those coming to hear Steve heart’s and updates numbered 200, including multiple long-term friends of the ministry.

At the 9:25 a.m. church service, Steve emphasized how his signature NASCAR Flag presentation has impacted the lives of many at NASCAR tracks and how those in attendance could run this race faithfully for Jesus. During the service, Steve was privileged to recognize 10 veterans, military personnel, and first responders for their commendable service of protecting and serving our nation. Steve was also pleased to witness 6 people make decisions for Christ. The angels truly danced!

At the 10:45 a.m. Sunday School service, Steve shared how we can be a blessing, supporting his points from Genesis 12:2-3 and Galatians 3:18. These four steps ensure how we can all bless others:

1) Giving meaningful touches

2) Sharing spoken words from the Word of God

3) Seeing people in the ways of who they can become

4) Actively helping people become who God has created them to be

Steve enjoyed the time with so many great friends of the ministry and a few new faces too, with lunch following both of Steve’s speaking opportunities. Steve recalls seeing a woman who had previously participated in a Holy Land Tour to Israel. She shared that her husband, who is now with Jesus, stated to her that one of his greatest moments in his life was being baptized in the Jordan River on that Tour.

Steve appreciated this visit to a faithful church supporting the ministry. “I had many great conversations, and the memories of so many lives changed were refreshing. It was good to reconnect with them, as they have stood with us for close to 30 years.”
