Summer 2021 Matching Opportunity

Go. A simple command, yet one that holds great magnitude in the Kingdom of God. You see, in Isaiah 6, God, in all His glory, asked who would go for Him as His messenger to the people in a vision given to Isaiah. Isaiah, feeling unworthy before the presence of God, stepped forward and said, “Here I am! Send me!” And, with that proclamation, God said, “Go…”

“Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” And he said, “Go…” (Isaiah 6:8-9 ESV)

Almost fifty years ago, I heard a similar command from God: to simply and wholeheartedly go. From that moment on, it has been my mission to fulfill the calling God placed on my life, both on a personal level and through the work of Wingfield Ministries. Like Isaiah, many times I have felt unworthy from my own uncleanness, yet grateful for the atoning sacrifice Christ made for me. This sacrifice has allowed me to “live the adventure” God has bestowed upon me, and I am grateful for each day I have been blessed with.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. (Matthew 28:19-20 ESV)

One of the primary responsibilities of an evangelist is to equip other people to do evangelism. This has been my life’s mission as I have partnered with thousands of people and churches to train others to further the gospel for the glory of God, reaching far beyond what I could accomplish on my own. My prayer is that I will be able to motivate a new generation to do the work of evangelism
for many years to come.

The sole mission of Wingfield Ministries has been to fulfill the Great Commission by every means possible; to go and do whatever God wills for this ministry to do. God has brought us through many seasons of outreach, including encounters, crusades, festivals, overseas missions, galas, Victory Weekend events, and, our most recent endeavor, the Lodestar Mountain Inn. Thousands have come to know Christ as their personal Savior and many more have reestablished their commitment to Christ.

Through the work of the Lodestar Mountain Inn, we have been called not only to reach the lost, but also to strengthen the body of Christ. The realities of ministry are sobering; countless brothers and sisters have grown weary in doing good. Depression and thoughts of self-harm within the body of Christ are harsh realities we are facing and, to be honest, have experienced or overlooked for far too long. It is time to restore His sons and daughters to fulfill His purpose on Earth, and the Lodestar Mountain Inn is the conduit He will use to do so. Even before construction has been completed, the inn has seen countless people find solace in Christ through the many events held or the prayer weekends individuals have taken.

You know, the Great Commission applies to both you and me. We each have the responsibility to reach the lost and the spiritually weary with His grace and love by any means possible. Let the Lodestar Mountain Inn be one of those means. We desperately need your help to complete its construction so we can reach the multitude of believers who need restoration with a fully functional facility. And now is the time to give, as your donation will be doubled – dollar for dollar – up to $200,000. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by; the countless believers and nonbelievers we will reach through the Lodestar Mountain Inn will, in turn, reach countless more who need the same grace and love Christ wants to bestow upon us all.

Will you partner with us as we boldly and humbly go?

In Christ,
Steve Wingfield, Evangelist
