Steve recently returned from a wonderful week of spreading hope, grace, and love in Montgomery, Alabama. He was invited to be a guest evangelist for ReNew Hope 2019. ReNew Hope is an annual event hosted by the We Care Program, a group focused on prison ministry. We Care goes into over 25 prisons in Alabama and evangelizes through friendship. The volunteers engage in conversations and create a relationship with the inmates, taking a deep-rooted concern for their spiritual life.

Steve was asked to share multiple times throughout this awesome experience. He joined hundreds of volunteers, evangelists, and musicians to speak life to many who have been forgotten. The week of ministry began with an orientation and rally for those who would be entering the prison to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After this time of spiritual preparation, this group with a mission of love began to enter the 25 prisons and love those incarcerated.

During various chapel services, Steve conveyed what the Lord had given him to speak over those in which he had the honor to share with. He spoke of a God who loves all of us with an everlasting love. Regardless of where we have been in life, we serve a God of second chances. The Lord moved in a mighty way and 30 people made first time commitments to live their lives for Christ. In addition, hundreds more made decisions to rededicate their lives to the Lord.

Steve returned home from this experience with more passion and zeal for evangelism, an experience he will never forget!
