We returned home from the Lot 10 Campground in Dover, Delaware invigorated! What a wonderful weekend we had the privilege of sharing with the awesome race fans at the “Monster Mile.” From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and the awesome people at the Lot 10 Campground showered us with hospitality.
God blessed this ministry by bringing Southern Edge and Jess Zimmerman Band to perform both nights. Their musical abilities are first class and even more important – their lives reflect that of an awesome Lord and Savior – Jesus Christ. Both groups took time to meet and greet fans throughout the weekend which had a positive effect on those in attendance.
Even though the concert on Friday night had to be shortened because of inclement weather, a little rain did not deter the fans from having a great time. On Saturday night, we marveled as God orchestrated one of the largest crowds for any Victory Weekend event ever. Fans were treated to an amazing fireworks display, great music, a raffled autographed guitar, a moving tribute where 36 veterans, active military personnel, and first responders were honored for their selfless service, and a message of hope and love. All those in attendance were told of a God who loves them and accepts them, wherever they may be in life. A God who sent His Son to die for their sins. We witnessed 15 people make decisions and a number of others approached the Victory Weekend team to say “thank you” and talk about the important role the Lord plays in their lives.
We all left Dover feeling energized. God showed up in a major way and affirmed that we are doing good and important work. The entire team would like to thank those who pray without ceasing for this event. God is good and He is moving in powerful ways!
