Dear Friend,

We are living in troubled times.  Whether it is at home or abroad, our televisions, newspapers, and social media feeds are littered with stories of hate, promoted and socially-accepted sin, and wars.  Yet, as dark as it seems, we have so much to be thankful for.  I truly feel that we do not see nor understand the riches we have in this country.  Most of us do not have to wonder where our next meal is coming from.  On Sunday mornings we can go to houses of worship without fear of imprisonment or persecution.  We do not live in fear of mortars or explosives detonating on our homes as our families are eating breakfast.  I recently read a statistic that even the poorest of families in the United States would be considered at least middle class in sixty percent of the world.  The Lord has immensely blessed these United States.  In the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, terror attacks in New York City; Washington, D.C; and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, the national cry was, “God bless America,” but when will America bless God?

This Thanksgiving I am encouraging you to intentionally bless the Lord by showing your heartfelt gratitude for what He has done in your life.  The greatest way to express your gratitude to the Lord of lords is by representing Him well with your life and praising Him daily to everyone you speak to.  It is time for America to bless God!

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Blessings,
