Dear Friends,
“I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart
I will enter His courts with praise
I will say this is the day that the Lord has made
I will rejoice for He has made me glad.”
In the coming weeks, this hymn will be sung at church events throughout the country. It is a declaration that regardless of our circumstances or situations, we will rejoice because He has made us glad. All due to His love, mercy, and compassion, we can have hope because this is the day that the Lord has made; just as every day belongs to our Lord. Hallelujah for this truth!
Thanksgiving, the act of thanking God for the wonders He has given us, is synonymous with praise. They go hand in hand. When we give our utmost gratitude to the Lord, we are praising His mighty and worthy name. And when we adorn the Lord with our praise and worship, we are sincerely thanking Him for His holy greatness.
I urge all of us to not limit our thanksgiving and praise to God to the fourth Thursday of November, but to lead a life of daily gratitude. He, alone, is worthy.
Blessings,
Steve
