The month of November usually makes us stop and reflect about the past year and thank God for the numerous blessings bestowed upon us. While His grace is new with every sunrise, we are full of thanksgiving for the ways the Lord has blessed and used this ministry for His glory.
As we prepare for the final Victory Weekend of 2017 in Homestead, Florida, one cannot help but reminisce about the ways our Lord had His hand on every event this year. We have had great musicians share their talents, energetic fans eager to have a wonderful experience, selfless volunteers donate their time, friends of the ministry pray without ceasing, and our Heavenly Father honor this work. I truly believe that we were the hands and feet of Jesus during these events. We saw many make first-time decisions for Jesus, and at the end of the day, that is what this ministry is about – sharing the real and powerful love of Jesus Christ.
We also stand in awe at the progress of the Lodestar Mountain Inn in Smoke Hole, West Virginia. What began as a vision for this 524-acre land has become a reality. As I have shared with you before, we are building a beautiful log cabin chapel that will overlook this magnificent space. In the past few weeks, the foundation was laid, and the logs from deconstructed buildings are being used to build the chapel. However, the foundation for this project was first laid long before any of us even knew about it. The Lord had plans for there to be a retreat center for pastors, church leaders, business professionals, and veterans – a place of revival and refuge, a place where He could truly work and heal the hearts of those who need a real encounter with Him. I am honored and humbled that our God would use this ministry to fulfill His glorious plan.
I am also thankful for each of you. Your prayers, kind words, and support are more appreciated than I could ever begin to describe. Philippians 1:3 states, “I thank my God every time I remember you.”
During this time of thanksgiving, may you be reminded of the bounty of blessings the Lord has given. May you reflect upon His mercy and love daily and always remember that the Lord who created everything has a specific plan for your life.
Expecting great things,
Steve
