Dear Friends,

The 6th annual Memorial Day Community Celebration is coming up and our team is eagerly anticipating this fantastic event! This is an opportunity to celebrate faith, family, friendship, and freedom with the community we are blessed to be a part of.

Memorial Day was created as a day to remember what we have because of the selfless sacrifice of others in the duty of this amazing country. I feel that we should daily remember those who gave it all for each of us in this greatest act of compassion and patriotism.

The Bible tells us, “Greater love has no one other than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” John 15:15 (NIV). The Memorial Day Community Celebration is a great way to honor the lives of those who ultimately laid down their lives for us and the ones we love. During a day full of awesome events and activities we will pause to honor those bravest among us; our veterans, active military personnel, and first responders. May we honor them for providing us with the freedom we enjoy each day.

I urge you to come out to the Rockingham County Fairgrounds on Monday, May 28th at 4 p.m. This will be an evening of great memories with even greater people! So, bring a lawn chair or blanket and the entire family for an exciting evening!
