Dear Friends,

May is a month of celebration, a time to reflect on and bless those who mean the most to us.  We are only two weeks away from Mother’s Day; do not wait until the last minute to figure out how you are going to make the mothers in your life feel special.  Whether it is with a family meal, flowers, or that special gift that you know will mean the world to her, celebrate the moms and shower them with the gratitude they deserve.  Consider doing something unique and heartwarming for a woman who has been instrumental in your life but may not be your mother – one who exudes motherly, nurturing character.

We are also celebrating the graduation of our first class of students in the OneLife program at the Lodestar Mountain Inn.  These amazing young men and women have developed a tightly knit community and have grown closer to the Lord.  While we are sad to see them leave, we know that they all will represent Christ and impact this world for His kingdom.

Finally, we will end the month by celebrating faith, family, and freedom on Monday, May 29 at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds in Harrisonburg, VA, at the 8th Annual Memorial Day Community Celebration.  We will have food vendors to satisfy every palate; inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, and a special ministry presentation for kids; a cruise-in featuring hundreds of cars; and live music from local bands throughout the day!  We are welcoming two artists I am particularly excited to see: Tucker Rodkey from Painting Freedom Ministries and Cochren & Co.  Tucker spreads the gospel to thousands of people through painting, and he has a special piece of art he has created just for this event.  Dove Award nominee Cochren & Co. is the next big thing in Christian music.  The band has recently been the opening act for Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns, Newsboys, and TobyMac and their musical stylings are amazing.

The highlight of the day will be a meaningful tribute to those whose sacrifices ensure our freedom and safety: our veterans, active military, and first responders.
