From Steve – May I
on May 1, 2020

Dear Friends,

“…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14, NIV)

During this time of mitigation and social distancing, we all long for a return to normalcy; a time where we can freely visit our family and friends, go to a movie, or enjoy a Sunday worship experience at church without fear or anxiety of contracting a devastating illness.  These moments of isolation have been tough, however, they can become a time of great personal and spiritual growth and a chance to prioritize our lives by spending more quality time with the Lord.  I urge you, instead of focusing on what you cannot do and what you wish you could be doing, go before the throne, seek the Lord’s face, and plead with the Most High on behalf of your family and community.  Pray the Lord remains close to those who are afflicted with this virus and guides them through their illness.  Finally, pray that the Lord would allow you the opportunity to be used for His glory in the most honorable way imaginable as the hands and feet of Christ.  We are in a time of great fear and angst, and our world is in desperate need of hope.  We have an everlasting hope living inside of us, and it is our duty to unleash this hope within our communities.

This battle belongs to the Lord!

Blessings,

Steve
