The other day during a staff meeting, I was recounting some of my activities from the previous few days by saying, “Wow, it has really been a whirlwind.” One of our team members then mentioned a verse in Nahum that helped me remember to trust God for His favor and grace in my often hectic life. The verse reads, “…The Lord has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm…” (Nahum 1:3 NKJV).
As I thought about those words, I took comfort in again embracing the fact that our sovereign God is watching out for me and the affairs of this ministry. He will guide us through any storms we may encounter. A little later in Nahum it says, “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows those who trust in Him,” (v. 7 NKJV).
I trust in Him. I am confident that He knows me and is there for me. I stand on the psalmist’s declaration in Psalms 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” I hope that you will rely on Him in your whirlwinds and in your storms of life. I highly recommend it.
God bless you in all things.
