I am going to use Paul’s words to the Philippians to help convey my thoughts to you. He wrote, “I give thanks to my God for every remembrance of you, always praying with joy for all of you in my every prayer, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:3-6, HCSB).
As you may know, when I sign a card or a copy of one of my books, I usually include Philippians 1:6. I believe that God is working in the spirit of every believer to help each one of us to be the best representative of His that we can possibly be. The keys are remaining close to Him by reading and meditating on in His word daily, being sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and by obeying Him.
1 John 2:5 tells us, “…If anyone obeys His word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This how we know we are in Him” (NIV).
How are you representing God to your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors? Remember, you may be that special person God uses to influence someone else’s life toward the Lord. His good work is made complete in you.
God bless you and thank you for your prayers for us as we venture out to tell people about Him.
Rejoicing in His Goodness,
Steve
