Dear friends,

We are two weeks into the new year, yet the same fears and anxieties we faced last year did not go away when the clock struck midnight on December 31.  This year, I urge you to join me in maintaining our focus on the only giver of hope for our world: Jesus.  I may not know what tomorrow holds, but I do know whose hands our future is in.  It is my prayer that we all cling to and stand upon the solid Rock that is our Lord and Savior.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name

On Christ, the solid rock, I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
