Dear friends,
Recently, we experienced a setback at the Lodestar Mountain Inn. Our plan was to construct the Event Center frame in December and start building the walls and roof in January. Unfortunately, a windstorm hit Smoke Hole and destroyed the work and, most importantly, the 150-year-old wood that framed our Event Center. It was a total loss. However, any story of triumph is filled with peaks and valleys; times where the obstacles seem insurmountable only to be defeated by perseverance and determination.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:2-4)
Many people from numerous different places ardently believe in the purpose and mission of this picturesque West Virginia property. We are elated to report that our prayers have been answered and replacement logs of historical relevance have been found and will soon make their journey to the Lodestar Mountain Inn.
This hurdle, while it seemed a mountain at the time, will merely be a small footnote in the story of a ministry center that will bring hope, healing, and rest to so many in their time of need. We invite you to keep up with the exciting progress by going to lodestarmountaininn.com or search “Lodestar Mountain Inn” on Facebook.
In Christ alone,
Steve
