Dear Friend,
We are living in a time when voices are loud, lines are drawn, and uncertainty seems to touch nearly every corner of our world. Differences—political, cultural, and theological—can feel sharper than ever. In moments like these, the question before us is not simply “what do we believe,” but “how will we live” as people who carry the name of Jesus.
To live for Jesus today is to choose faithfulness over fear and love over winning. Christ did not ask His followers to blend in with the noise of the world, but to be salt and light within it—bringing clarity, hope, and healing where there is confusion and pain. Our lives are meant to point beyond ourselves, reflecting His character in both word and deed.
Representing Jesus well means learning to listen before we speak, to show grace when it is undeserved, and to respond with humility when we are misunderstood. It means resisting the pull to divide people into “us” and “them,” and instead remembering that every person we encounter is deeply loved by God. When we choose kindness in tense conversations, patience in disagreement, and truth spoken with compassion, we make space for Christ to be seen. It is paramount for us to remember and understand, as Brennan Manning once said, “In every encounter we are either giving life or draining it. There are no neutral interactions.”
This does not mean we abandon conviction. Jesus was full of both grace and truth. Living for Him calls us to stand firmly on His teachings while holding others gently. Our hope is not found in outcomes we can control, but in a Savior who is unchanging. When the world feels unstable, our steady witness can remind others that God is still at work.
Let us be a people who pray earnestly, love generously, and serve faithfully—especially when it is hard. May our words build up rather than tear down. May our lives invite questions, spark hope, and point clearly to the One who brings peace that the world cannot give.
As we move forward together, may we fix our eyes on Jesus, trusting Him to guide us through every season. In doing so, we won’t just speak about our faith—we will live it, beautifully and boldly, for a world that desperately needs His light.
Be a blessing to all you encounter!
