Dear Friends,
We are drawing closer to the day where we celebrate the greatest event in human history; the day God chose to come and experience life with us. This single event would ignite a revolution and change everything when the coming of Christ “flipped the script.” Jesus changed the world the very moment He was born in a stable and laid in a lowly manger. He would bring hope to the hopeless, teach us that greatness is measured by humility, that our words have the power to speak life or bring death, and that the heart of every person is what matters most.
If being the Savior of the world was not enough, Jesus is also a friend, teacher, and mentor as He was to His beloved disciples who were with Him side-by-side for three years. The mission of Christ was to bring peace to the world. His death and glorious resurrection was always the plan. However, through Jesus’ life, God longed to transform this broken chaotic world into one with His perfect love, hope, and peace.
I encourage you to lean in and focus on Isaiah 9:6 over the coming weeks. During a time of uncertainty in many different areas, may it give you comfort, hope, and peace. “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (NIV)
Merry CHRISTmas,
Steve
