Dear Friends,
Have you ever heard the old saying, “April showers bring May flowers?” It is the idea that during early spring, rainfall will saturate the ground and make the land ready for the beautiful flowers and other life to grow. Our spiritual lives are very similar. A seed is planted within each of us, the Lord begins to “water” us, and we begin to take root and grow in ways that can amaze us.
Right now, our ministry is in the process of sowing seeds and covering them with careful planning and much prayer. Our team is at work diligently preparing for the 6th Annual Memorial Day Community Celebration that will take place at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds on Monday, May 28, 2018. What a wonderful time it will be! We will have classic cars cruising in, food vendors serving great food, art & craft vendors, children’s activities, and concerts by Jeff Polen, John Schmid, and Grammy winner Jason Crabb.
In addition, for the first time, we will be holding a Memorial Day Youth Worship Night on Sunday, May 27 at the fairgrounds. A number of youth groups and youth ministries are on board, and we are all excited about what God is going to do through these two days of ministry!
It is our prayer that the Lord’s blessing will rain down on us and saturate the ground. Only this way will the harvest be bountiful for the glory of a risen King. Will you join us in praying daily for this important part of His ministry?
Be a blessing,
Steve
