April is here. The first full month of spring will bring forth blossoming from the hands of God. With that, I am reminded of the Scriptures in 1 Corinthians 3:6-9 where Paul talked about the cooperation needed between man and God to make things grow. He reminds us, “For we are co-workers in God’s service” (v.9a NIV).

That is the way it is here at the ministry too. Through the combined efforts of our supporters, board members, Kingdom Builders, prayer partners, staff, church volunteers, and other cooperating businesses, groups, and individuals, we are able to go to over 40 tracks, campgrounds, and churches each year to present the Good News about Jesus.

Our Memorial Day Celebration is a good example as every one of those groups I just mentioned is striving to make this annual event our best ever. We are working very hard contacting churches, business leaders, and volunteers for the event. We are even conducting three separate open house luncheons (April 5, 6, & 7) for those involved to give them the full picture about this new Valley tradition and how it benefits our Harrisonburg community.
