Now less than a month away, the 2017 Victory Weekend team is thrilled to be at the Daytona International Speedway from Wednesday, February 22 to Saturday, February 25. God has already worked and opened new doors at this venue, so thank you for your past and continued prayers as we continue our preparations.
FREE concerts by Levi Riggs, Audra McLaughlin, and Jess Zimmerman will be on the Victory Weekend Stage. All three performers and musicians are excited to play, and all our happenings will be at the Brown’s Speedweeks Campground. Pray that God speaks through Levi, Audra, and Jess to the NASCAR Fans, as they sing and encourage those who visit us before seeing the big race on Sunday, February 26. Pray also that people who visit the Victory Weekend Stage will feel at home at Brown’s.
Victory Weekend staff and volunteers are eager to have NASCAR Fans sign up on Friday night for our air guitar competition on Saturday night. This nearly 30-minute addition to our Saturday events will provide more participation for our friends, and we are delighted to have our crowd’s participation in more ways at events this year. Pray that those people who sign up will be encouraged by Saturday night.
The team is preparing for February 25, Saturday night, which is our huge night! Pray that God’s presence comes as our staff and volunteers show our appreciation for the present veterans, military personnel, and first responders, as we award them with medals and literature for their never-forgotten service. These men and women are truly heroes, and we want each of them to know how special they are to us and to our nation, as well as for them to recognize how special they are in God’s eyes!
Steve will provide encouragement and direction from God’s Word so every NASCAR Fan chooses Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Pray also for our Victory Weekend Counselors to step up and go out in faith to share the Good News clearly and confidently with those in the crowd who surrender their lives to Jesus!
Our team is still looking for volunteers to help out at Daytona, as Counselors and in many other roles, including photography, at the information booth, with security, and more.
