“Fabulous, Unprecedented Favor!”

Those were the words that Steve used to describe his time at the Food City Fan Zone at the Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday night. Steve related that he met “everybody who is anybody” in NASCAR and how the night was a “God thing” from start to finish. He said that Friday could not have gone any better as Victory Weekend performers Charee White, Levi Riggs, and Audra McLaughlin entertained the crowd of about 5,000 with their world class musical offerings. Audra had the distinction of being the first to perform the national anthem shown on the amazing new scoreboard suspended above the track. Steve honored at least 100 military personnel, first responders, and veterans from the Pepsi Stage on Friday night.

On Saturday, Vernon Zook hosted the Victory Weekend event from our mobile stage. Charee White, Audra McLaughlin, Levi Riggs, and Jess Zimmerman all performed magnificently to a peak gathering of about 400 people. Vernon reported that at least 60 decisions were made and that 20 service personnel were honored. By the time the weekend was over, we had completely depleted our supply of shirts, books, and other giveaway items.

What a fantastic event! Thank you to everyone who was involved.

We love Bristol. We can’t wait to be back for the epic Tennessee/VA Tech football game in September.
