When we asked Steve to give his thoughts on the Victory Weekend outreach in Bristol this past weekend, he told us, “Bristol was wonderful. The team was the best ever, the entertainment was anointed, and the energy was amazing. The crowd was engaged, appreciative, and responsive. Friday, we did three events in three different locations: the NASCAR Fan Zone, Food City Fan Zone, and the Bristol Campground. We pulled them all off with elegance. Saturday, we were again in the NASCAR Fan Zone and the Bristol Campground. The response Saturday night was humbling with over 160 decisions for Christ. Mission accomplished – love God, love people, have fun, and represent Jesus well.”
The Victory Weekend team reported that the musical performances, which drew crowds of more than 700 people on Saturday at the Bristol Campground, were some of the best they have ever experienced. Southern Edge, Adelee & Gentry, and Charee White all put on memorable sets as they wowed the crowd. NASCAR driver, Reed Sorenson, and the Victory Weekend #79 Show car were also big hits with the race fans.
Steve and the team are now gearing up for two big events in May. The Coca Cola 600 race weekend at the Charlotte Motor Speedway will be May 23-25th, and our second annual Memorial Day Celebration honoring faith, family, and freedom will be on May 26th, at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support!
