Wingfield Ministries, Inc., (WMI) is a non-profit religious organization supported by the voluntary contributions of people who desire to see the kingdom of God grow through proclamation evangelism. All gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Audited financial statements are available upon written request.

We convey the vision that the Lord has laid upon our hearts for His glory and purpose to friends of the ministry, then pray that God will lead and guide those whom He has called to act through the giving of their resources.

The Lodestar Mountain Inn in Upper Tract, WV, operates from an established budget approved by WMI’s Board of Directors and is financed through contributions made by individuals, businesses, and churches.

WMI conducts Victory Weekend events at the invitation of NASCAR-affiliated campgrounds and racetracks. These events are financed by the contributions of participating churches, individuals, and businesses in accordance with an established budget approved by WMI’s Board of Directors.

We are committed to being transparent and responsible stewards of the finances that the Lord has guided His people to entrust us with. We vow to follow biblical standards and the highest integrity in all financial practices.

Request Audited Financial Statements

Because individuals who are serving the Lord through their charitable giving trust us, we hold this ministry to the highest accountability, transparency, and standards in our financial practices. We recognize the importance of this commitment to donors and to the Lord; therefore, we are wholeheartedly committed to the following:

  • Adhering to a Statement of Faith, clearly written and boldly proclaiming our commitment to evangelism and discipleship and adherence to the Great Commission.
  • Governance by an involved Board of Directors who share and support the vision and mission of WMI, meeting regularly to approve budgets, new avenues of effective ministry, establish practices and policies, and review all results and accomplishments.
  • Ensuring that we use all contributions strategically and wisely in accordance with our vision and mission to spread the never-changing gospel of Jesus Christ to all we encounter. In view of our vision and mission, all fundraising appeals will be made in a clear and concise way, and our Board of Directors will provide oversight that all funding is used for the intended purposes.
  • WMI reserves the right to apply funds to other areas in most critical need in the event of a surplus of funds for a particular project.  Using best practices, strategic planning, and guided discernment, directors will designate contributions in a manner that best allows WMI to achieve its vision and mission.
  • Contracting with an independent certified public accountant to perform an annual audit to ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Making the annual Form 990 available on the WMI websites and to all who request the information.
  • Maintaining and complying with a Whistle-Blower Policy, Records Retention Policy, and abiding by a stern Code of Ethics.
  • Conducting all WMI activities and business with the utmost transparency and integrity and avoiding conflicts of interest.
  • Refraining from manipulative or high-pressure fundraising tactics while respecting the privacy of our donors by never selling, leasing, renting, or giving away our ministry mailing lists. We maintain vigilant security of our list of friends and supporters.
  • Honoring our Lord and our financial commitments by timely paying vendors and obligations.
  • Striving to gain knowledge and further understanding of the best financial practices for nonprofit organizations to fulfill the obligation of our Board of Directors to ensure fiduciary duty of care.

Wingfield Ministries, Inc., is a member in good standing of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and subscribes to its standards for fundraising and financial management.

Wingfield Ministries, Inc., Earns a Four-Star Rating From Charity Navigator

Harrisonburg, VA, September 7, 2024 – Wingfield Ministries, Inc., is proud to announce that its strong financial health and ongoing accountability and transparency has earned a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator. This rating designates Wingfield Ministries, Inc., as an official “Give with Confidence” charity, indicating that our organization is using its donations effectively based on Charity Navigator’s criteria. Charity Navigator is America’s largest and most-utilized independent charity evaluator. Since 2001, the organization has been an unbiased and trusted source of information for more than 11 million donors annually.

Charity Navigator analyzes nonprofit performance based on four key indicators, referred to as beacons. Currently, nonprofits can earn scores for the Impact & Results, Accountability & Finance, Culture & Community, and Leadership & Adaptability beacons.
