Dear Friends,
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
This popular Bible verse has been used a lot in the past several weeks. As high school and college seniors are graduating and entering a new chapter of their young lives, they are reminded that no matter the obstacle or hurdle, regardless of the circumstance or situation, the Lord has a plan for their lives. Our God has a similar plan for all of us as He holds this little world in the palms of His glorious hands.
In my four decades of ministry, I have been witness to the awesome works of this omnificent Creator. As the ministry has evolved, at the Lord’s guidance, He alone has blazed new trails for us to follow, leading to amazing new opportunities. The Lord has blessed us with another possibility; a place of retreat and healing that will serve as a lighthouse to all who seek restoration for generations to come: the Lodestar Mountain Inn.
As I envision the multitudes of people who will visit the Lodestar Mountain Inn to seek help and healing from the scars and bruises from this world, I am hopeful. Hopeful that we still worship a risen Savior who has plans to prosper us and not harm us. A Savior who will take our hurt and pain and offer us hope and a future!
We are in the homestretch of completing this wonderful ministry center. It is a beautiful example of the Lord’s promise and goodness. We are in the midst of a $150,000 matching challenge; for every dollar raised, a friend and believer in this ministry will match it! Will you please pray over the Lodestar Mountain Inn and ask the Lord what He would have you do? Your donation could change a life for all eternity.
Blessings,
Steve
