The Victory Weekend team had a wonderful weekend of ministry in and around Dover, Delaware, last weekend. This important mission began at the Lot 10 Campground. The campground was filled to capacity with race fans eager to have a wonderful time. I hope that we did not disappoint! Two fantastic bands, Southern Edge and the Jess Zimmerman Band, entertained fans. All of these gifted musicians thrive at creating great sounds as well as positive fan interaction!
During the Saturday night Xfinity race, our very own Steve Wingfield had the honor of praying at the pre-race ceremonies. Steve was given the opportunity to pray over the thousands watching the race as well as the race teams competing. This unbelievable honor was an amazing example of the favor the Lord is blessing upon this ministry. After the race, it was time for the Victory Weekend concert at the campground. During the concerts, we took a moment to pause and honor 30 veterans, active military personnel, and first responders. After this moving tribute, Pastor Vernon Zook shared a message of hope and love that can only be given through Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us. The Spirit of God was present during this time. The Lord was at work and we saw 35 people make life-altering decisions for Christ. After praying with those making decisions and for the audience, the concert continued and the Lord continued to surround the Lot 10 Campground. It was a fantastic night of ministry!
On Sunday morning, Steve was asked to bring the Word to the fine congregation at Crossroad Community Church. During the three worship services, Steve brought to them what God has laid upon his heart. It was the perfect way to end a weekend full of ministry, fellowship, and a whole lot of Jesus.
This ministry loves going to Dover and we are eager for more ministry in 2019.
