Dear Friends,

Summer is a great time with even greater possibilities. It is a time for us to enjoy the warmer weather, trading our technology and devices for walks in the park or fishing at our favorite spot! I really want to encourage you to share meaningful time with your family. Make those memories that will become the fabric of your family’s “story.”

Luke 12:34 reminds us, “For where your treasure is, your heart will be also.” I consider my family worth more than any gold or silver, a treasure graciously given to me by an almighty Savior. However, some of us do not have family living near us. If this is the case, adopt a family. Invite them to your home for a cookout or share a night at one of the many ice cream shops around. The Lord loves when His people are together and He will bless your time together.

I once saw this online and I feel as if it applies right now. “Family: We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.” Consider spending time away from all of the distractions of this life and enjoy your family!
