The Victory Weekend team saw a record-breaking crowd at the GEICO Campground in Homestead, Florida. As we have seen throughout this season, Victory Weekend is reaching more people with every event! God is blessing this ministry in ways that we cannot fathom.
The musical talents of Levi Riggs and the Jess Zimmerman Band blessed the NASCAR fans in attendance, all of whom had a wonderful time of singing and dancing. After each concert, many of the fans were wanting more and were anxiously awaiting the next show. This is due to the ability of Levi and Jess to connect with the fans, making them a part of the event.
During the last performance on Saturday night, we had the honor of celebrating 36 courageous individuals, presenting them with ceremonial Victory Weekend medals for their service protecting our great nation. Pastor Vernon Zook then shared a message of the hope and love of Jesus with the crowd, during which many raised their hands, signifying that they made a decision for Christ. As with the other Victory Weekend events, it was a special time that we will not forget.
The event in Homestead was the final race and final Victory Weekend event of 2017. We would like to thank all of those who helped make this ministry a success this season. From the volunteers and musicians to those who faithfully prayed that God would use this ministry, it was a total team effort.
We are all eager and expecting great things in 2018.
