As each day passes, I am continually in awe at the blessings of the Lord. His ministry is reaching people, and lives are being radically changed by the love and grace of a never-changing Savior. As you are well aware, the Lord’s blessings are overflowing as we witness the progress of the Lodestar Mountain Inn in Smoke Hole, West Virginia.
A few weeks ago, I shared the next phase in the construction – a log cabin chapel overlooking this beautiful land. Our dear friends at Stone Hill Construction broke ground, Brandon Taylor laid the footers, and last week, the logs arrived. It is certainly an exciting time for all of us. God is continuing to provide for this retreat center in ways I will never be able to fully fathom.
Paul wrote the book of Philippians while he was in prison. It served as a “Thank you” note to the people of Philippi, a way of expressing his appreciation and love for those who supported and helped him. Philippians 4:19-20 tells us, “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”
The Lord is supplying our needs and His people are answering the call!
The Lodestar Mountain Inn will be a place of rejuvenation and personal revival for pastors, church leaders, business leaders, veterans, and many others. However, we still have much work to do.
As 2017 is almost over, we are gearing up for our year-end charitable giving campaign. This is a perfect way to bless others in the name of Jesus. Tuesday, November 28 has been named “Giving Tuesday.” It is a day where people are encouraged to financially support the nonprofit organizations they feel the most passionate about. We are asking that all of our friends of the ministry seek God’s direction and consider donating to this ministry. All donations raised will go directly to the construction efforts at the Lodestar Mountain Inn.
We thank God for each of you daily. It is our desire to honor our Savior and to represent Jesus well. May the Lord continue to bless you!
His servant,
Steve
