From Steve – April I
on April 11, 2017

The trip to the Holy Land was wonderful. Someone asked me yesterday why I do this, and my response was because I want to invest in the spiritual lives of others. This truly is a pilgrimage, and I am always honored to have the privilege of speaking into the lives of my friends and seeing God work. This trip was no exception, and I look forward to many more opportunities. It truly energizes me!

I must be honest though, the last few days have been days of recovery from jetlag. I do really well in the morning but I run out of steam by late afternoon. Today is the first day that I felt pretty much back to normal. Thanks for your prayers.

In my return I have loved spending time with Barb and my son David and his family: Havilah, Selah and Jubal. They all came out for dinner last night and I fixed them what I ate while in Israel: falafels, pita bread, olives, coleslaw, and cooked beets with palm dates for dessert. Most of all it was just fun being together with my family. Barb and I are looking forward to visiting our daughter Michele and her family during Easter.

When we return from visiting Michele in Nashville it will be time to get ready for Bristol, and I hope I can find some time for one of my favorite things: spring gobbler hunting season. This week I actually saw six turkeys walk through our yard, and the last one was a big gobbler with a long beard. It looks like I may not have to go very far to find one!

Keep representing Jesus well my friend,

Steve Wingfield
