From Steve – November I

The other day, our office was buzzing with activity as every available space was occupied by a Kingdom Builder volunteer or staff member working on our year end mailing. When I addressed the group before we started stuffing, sealing, and stamping envelopes, I shared two verses that my Victory Weekend app had selected for me.

2 Corinthians 9:8 really spoke to me that day because the year end can be an anxious time as we prepare for the next year’s schedule and pray that the finances will be granted to do everything that God has called us to do. You can imagine how I was encouraged when I read, “God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

The next verse that the app sent was also as timely as it was powerful. I thought about the retreat center in West Virginia we are planning to build to minister to veterans, military personnel, first responders, pastors, business leaders, and their spouses.

Our stated mission for the center is to provide a place for relaxation, renewal, and refreshment for those men and women who have sacrificed so much to serve. The verse that brought me to tears was Proverbs 11:25 which reads, “A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”

Wow! It was like God knew exactly what I needed to hear at that very moment. I was instantly refreshed and I am still running on those words. Praise Him for His ability to speak into our lives at the most opportune moments. Let us know how the Victory Weekend app is ministering to you.
