Wow, what a busy season! September is already flying by, and I’m taking a vacation from September 8-11. That doesn’t at all mean things are slowing down.
Ten years ago in 2005, I was heavily involved with The Valley Responds, a community-wide initiative to help the people of Long Beach, Mississippi recover from Hurricane Katrina. 2005 was a time of intense prayer and miracles. Our local television station (WHSV TV-3 of Harrisonburg) produced and aired a documentary from 2005, and went back again 10 years later for follow-up.
In addition to a good report from Katrina recovery, we stand on the threshold of a yet another rewarding project. Through the generosity of a visionary donor, the ministry has just acquired a major tract of land in West Virginia. We are still in the very early stages of planning, so I ask that you pray for God’s favor and guidance.
Looking back reminds me that truly great things can and do happen when God’s people come together with a united purpose. Looking forward generates a new surge of hope that God’s goodness is without limits when we are called to come alongside Him to minster to His children.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
