As we enter the final months of 2026, we have so much to be thankful for and so much to look forward to. Scripture reminds us to “run with endurance the race that is set before us” (Hebrews 12:1). Finishing well is about more than reaching the end of another year – it is about keeping our eyes on Jesus and faithfully using every opportunity He gives us to serve, encourage, disciple, and share the hope of Christ. We are excited about the many opportunities still ahead through Wingfield Ministries and at the Lodestar Mountain Inn. October brings Gap Year at Lodestar Preview Day on October 9 and Gap Year Alumni Homecoming Weekend, October 9-11; the Fall Hymn Sing Getaway, October 16-18; and the Apple Butter Getaway, October 23-25. November brings the Victory Weekend Veterans & First Responders Getaway, November 6-8; Gap Year Preview Day on November 13; and Gap Year Parents’ Weekend, November 13-15; followed by our Christmas Getaway Weekend, December 4-6. Each gathering provides an opportunity for worship, fellowship, discipleship, rest, and meaningful connections.

As we approach the finish line of 2026, our prayer is that we will not simply finish the year, but finish well, faithful to Christ, generous with what He has entrusted to us, and ready to make the most of every opportunity to make Him known. Every event, conversation, and relationship can become an opportunity to encourage someone and point them toward Jesus. Whether you join us at the Lodestar Mountain Inn, participate in a Wingfield Ministries event, pray for the ministry, or find opportunities to serve those around you, we invite you to run this race with us. Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus, embrace the opportunities He places before us, and finish 2026 with grateful hearts, renewed faith, and the joy of knowing we are faithfully following where He leads.
