God is Good!
on April 17, 2018

The Victory Weekend ministry team arrived home on Sunday from Bristol, Tennessee, and once again, God blessed us in major ways! Upon arriving at the Raceday Center Campground, the entire team could feel the Lord at work. We had the awesome opportunity to minister and speak life to 3,000 people, and we pray that we made a life-altering difference in all of them.

The Jess Zimmerman Band entertained the race fans at the Victory Weekend stage as well as those who were watching from the comfort of their condominium balconies. She was interacting with them all, whether they were directly in front of her or watching from the 10th floor. These dear friends of the ministry played 2 nights of awesome music and truly blessed all of those in attendance.

On Saturday night, during the conclusion of the concert, Pastor Vernon Zook addressed the audience, offering a message of hope and love of an almighty Savior and our need for Him to be in our lives. Pastor Vernon’s message spoke to the hearts of those in the crowd. Through the moving of God and His Holy Spirit, we saw 10 people make first-time commitments to Jesus Christ. Please pray for these new believers that God will continue to work and that they may grow rooted in their newfound faith.

We were also honored to say thank you to 17 selfless individuals who chose to defend our freedom and keep each of us safe—our veterans, active military personnel, and first responders. Following this moving ceremony, Jess Zimmerman led everyone in a stirring rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” It was an emotional time for those who have served and all of those who are grateful for their sacrifice.

Bristol, once again, proved to be a “home away from home” for the Victory Weekend team. We praise God for those we were blessed to minister to as well as all of those who volunteered their time and efforts to make a difference for Jesus.

Until August, we will miss you Bristol!
