What a blessing God bestowed on the Victory Weekend event in Dover, Delaware. The weather was perfect and the Lord surrounded us with His favor.
From the moment we first arrived, all welcomed us. Everyone was glad to see us and excited that we were there. We could sense that something marvelous was about to happen!
Raceway Ministries from Maryland and Delaware joined us in ministry. We are grateful for their fellowship, compassion, and hot chocolate. It was awesome to see the Lord work in the efforts of both groups.
We had the opportunity to perform at Dover Air Force Base for service men and women and their families. It was a pleasure to help honor and bring smiles to the faces of those who protect us. The Jess Zimmerman Band gave these heroes and their families a fantastic concert. It was an event that inspired us, and we will never forget our time with everyone.
On Friday and Saturday night, the Victory Weekend fans showed up in full force. Both nights we saw many energetic folks ready to have a good time. The Southern Edge Band and the Jess Zimmerman Band made sure that they did! Fans were cheering, dancing, and singing along.
The weekend was culminated by a fireworks show that dazzled everyone, followed by the Victory Weekend team honoring 27 veterans, military personnel, and first responders. Soon after, Jess Zimmerman led the crowd in a rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” that had many lifting their hands in the air to our great land. After the thunderous applause and chanting of “USA”, Pastor Vernon Zook took the stage and offered a message of hope – hope that can only be truly found in Jesus Christ. The response was amazing, and we saw 30 people make first-time decisions for Jesus.
Everyone had an awesome time in Dover, the race fans and the Victory Weekend team alike. We thank God daily for all of those who allow us to minister. God was at the Monster Mile last weekend in a mighty way!
