April is here and it looks like Spring may have finally arrived as well. This month, I have two important preaching engagements. The first is April 6th, at Journey Christian Fellowship here in Harrisonburg. Then I will be in High Point, NC for a fund raiser for my brother Wayne’s Home to Home ministry on Saturday, April 26th. On Sunday, April 27th, I will be speaking at First Wesleyan Church in High Point.
The month of May starts off with my friend and mentor, Dr. Elmer Towns, speaking at my home church in Harrisonburg, New Beginnings Church, May 3rd, 4th, and 5th. On May 16th and 17th, I will be in Beaver Dams, NY to speak at a church campground for the Central New York District of the Wesleyan Church.
May 23-25, the entire Victory Weekend team, along with the Show Car, will be out in full force for the Coca-Cola 600 race in Charlotte. There will be great music, tons of giveaways, and a moving tribute to veterans, active duty personnel, and first responders.
Finally, we will conduct our second annual Memorial Day Celebration at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds on Monday, May 26th. Churches and commercial vendors will supply delicious foods for purchase. Entertainment will be provided by The Roys, Southern Edge, John Schmid, and the Dialed Action BMX stunt team. Way-to-Go Ministries, with Lesha Campbell, will have special programs for the children, in addition to inflatables and other attractions. The day will be highlighted by a ceremony honoring the sacrifices of our veterans, active duty personnel, and local first responders. In addition, there will be a 100+ classic car Cruise –In and another appearance by the Victory Weekend Show Car. Come out and enjoy this celebration of faith, family, and freedom. All the events are free.
