From Steve – December 2013
on December 6, 2013

The angels sang about “peace on earth” the night they announced the birth of Jesus. Yet, somehow, the Christmas season is one of the most stressful, “peace-less” times of the year. Sadly, there are more depression and more suicides than at any other time of year.

Want peace? Listen to this, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all those whose thoughts are fixed on You!” (Isaiah 26:3 NLT)

I think that is one of the greatest promises in the Bible. This season celebrates the birth of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. The peace God brings into our lives surpasses all understanding because there’s no way to explain it. We can’t create it nor can we find it in any other thing or person.

God will keep you in perfect peace which is much needed this time of year. The secret is to focus your mind on the author and finisher of your faith. Keep your eyes and thoughts fixed on Jesus.

If you are feeling stressful, take a deep breath, have a little quiet time with Him, and ask Him to speak peace into your life. He will be faithful to grant you His perfect peace.

Have a peaceful and blessed Christmas.
