By the end of this year we will have conducted eight Victory Weekend evangelism events and presented the gospel to more people than any other year in the history of this ministry.  Five of those events have been at NASCAR tracks during race weekends, one event was right here in Harrisonburg, one event was the March for Jesus in Dover, DE, and one event will be the World of Outlaws, a dirt track event at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Who would have thought that NASCAR would become the open door of opportunity for the future of Wingfield Ministries?  God truly works in wonderful ways to advance the gospel! Without question His ways are not our ways and I thank Him for the open door He has provided.

If you had asked me several years ago what I would be doing in 2013, NASCAR would not have been on my list of options. But I want you to know I could not be more excited about what God is doing through Victory Weekend.

I have always been very transparent, I am who I am and I try to have no secrets, so I want to share my heart with you. A friend asked me the other day about ROI (Return on Investment).  For many years I was able to honestly say, “We get more bang out of the buck than anyone I know.” In other words, our ministry is doing our very best to use the funds entrusted to us to reach as many people as possible with the Good News of Jesus Christ!

When we switched to the “festival” model of evangelism, budgets became much larger and I reached the point that I could not look myself in the mirror and say that.  Victory Weekend has changed all of that!  I can once again say our ROI is over the top good!  When we were doing encounters and festivals we considered it a great success if 10% of those in attendance were non-churched and unsaved.  We are now going into an environment where the vast majority of those in attendance are un-churched, unreached, disengaged, and unsaved.  We are going to where the crowd is rather than asking the crowd to come to where we are and I want you to know it is working!

Without your prayers and financial support I could not have had the opportunity to proclaim Christ at these events.  I thank the Lord and you for your partnership!!

In 2014, we have the potential to do thirteen Victory Weekend related events. We need to expand our support team! I ask first and foremost that you pray!  Please join our team in faithfully praying daily for a spiritual awakening and renewal in America.  Pray for Wingfield Ministries and the Victory Weekend Team as we proclaim Christ.  We must never forget that Jesus came to seek and save the lost.  I pray we will see the greatest harvest ever, in 2014!

God has blessed us with an ever increasing opportunity to spread the Gospel.  To make these events a reality we need 750 people to come along side of us and help raise $390,000.  Your ROI will reap eternal dividends!

We need:

• 100 people who will invest $100 per month
• 250 people who will invest $50.00 per month
• 400 people who will invest $25.00 per month

A long-time friend of the ministry has offered a matching challenge grant. Every dollar that is given between now and December 31, 2013, will be matched up to $100,000! This means that every dollar you give will be doubled.  For those of you who have given faithfully, thank you so much!  We ask that you prayerfully consider giving above and beyond what you normally give.  For those of you who have recently given a one-time gift, we ask that you pray about whether God is calling you to become a monthly supporter.  For those of you who may not have been able to give in a little while we ask that you prayerfully ask God whether this might be a good time to give again.  Please make this matching challenge a matter of prayer.  I am asking God to direct your decision; eternity is at stake!  The Lord says to us all in Luke 10:2, “…The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”

You may know that one of my favorite quotes is from missionary C.T. Studd, “Some like to live within the sound of church or chapel bell, but as for me I would rather build a rescue shop within a yard of hell.  O help me not rust out, help me not glide through this world without having blown the trumpet loud and long for our blessed redeemer, at the very least may there be a thanksgiving service in hell when the devil gets the news of my departure from the field of battle.”  I pray this is the way I will be remembered!

We are living in crucial times in our world.  Now is the time for persons like you to stand up and be counted, to partner with us as we proclaim the only answer to this turbulent, stressed out, sinful world.  The answer is Jesus Christ!  May we all be faithful, even unto death!

Join with us in praying that God will move mightily in 2014.  Invest your financial support in reaching the lost, particularly now as each dollar you give will be doubled through December 31, 2013.  We need you, your prayers, and your financial support as we strive to do His will and proclaim His message, as we have resources and people to accomplish the task.
