Dear Friend,
One of the greatest ways we can honor those who came before us is by faithfully investing in those who will come after us. Throughout Scripture, we see God working through generations as His people passed down His truth, His promises, and His faithfulness. Moses instructed the Israelites to teach God’s commandments diligently to their children, and the Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy to entrust what he had learned “to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” Our Christian faith was never intended to stop with one generation – it is a sacred trust to be lived, shared, and passed on. We honor the sacrifices, prayers, and steadfast faith of those who invested in us by becoming faithful stewards of the next generation.
Today, our children and grandchildren are growing up in a world that desperately needs the hope and truth of Jesus Christ. They need godly examples who will love them, encourage them, and point them toward a life of purpose rooted in God’s Word. Psalm 145:4 reminds us, “One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.” What a privilege it is to help raise up young men and women who will boldly proclaim the gospel and faithfully serve the Lord in their homes, churches, workplaces, and communities. As we thank God for our spiritual heritage, let us also commit ourselves to leaving a legacy of faith that will continue to bear fruit for generations to come.
