Dear Friend,
As our nation celebrates its 250th birthday on Independence Day 2026, we pause with grateful hearts to remember the courage, sacrifice, and faith of those who founded this great nation. For two and a half centuries, Americans have enjoyed freedoms that countless generations have defended and preserved. We rejoice in the blessings of liberty, the opportunities afforded by our republic, and the enduring principles upon which our nation was established. As Psalm 33:12 reminds us, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” This historic milestone calls us not only to celebrate our past but also to seek God’s guidance for our future.
While we give thanks for the freedom found in our nation’s independence, we must also remember the greater freedom that is found in our dependence upon Almighty God. The world often teaches self-sufficiency, yet Scripture teaches us that true liberty comes through surrender to Christ. Jesus said in John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” America’s founders recognized the importance of divine providence, and today we must once again acknowledge that our strength, hope, and blessing flow from our dependence upon the Lord. It is in trusting Him, seeking His wisdom, and following His ways that both individuals and nations find lasting peace.
As we gather with family and friends to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, may we renew our commitment to both our country and our faith. Let us pray for our leaders, teach the next generation the values that have sustained our nation, and boldly proclaim the gospel that brings true freedom to every heart. May this anniversary serve as a reminder that while we cherish our independence as Americans, we find our greatest purpose and security in our dependence upon God. May the Lord continue to bless America and lead us into the years ahead.
Blessings,
