Dear Friend,

In the forty days following His resurrection, Jesus Christ delivered a message that was both deeply reassuring and profoundly purposeful. He appeared to His disciples not only to prove that He had risen, but to strengthen their faith and remove their fear. During this time, He taught them about the kingdom of God, helping them understand that His mission had not ended at the cross but had been fulfilled and was now continuing through them. His presence was a reminder that hope is never lost, even in the face of suffering or uncertainty.

These days were also a time of preparation. Jesus patiently guided His followers, opening their minds to the Scriptures and giving them clarity about their calling. He emphasized peace, forgiveness, and the command to share His message with others. Perhaps most importantly, He promised they would not be alone, that the Holy Spirit would come to empower and guide them. This promise transformed their fear into courage and their doubt into conviction, equipping them for the work ahead.

As we reflect on this sacred period leading to Ascension, we are reminded that we, too, are called to live out His message with faith and purpose. The forty days after the resurrection demonstrate that growth often comes in seasons of waiting and learning, and that we are strengthened for what lies ahead. Just as the disciples were sent into the world with hope and direction, we are invited to carry that same message of love, grace, and truth into our own lives and communities. This is the reason why our focus and mission are evangelism and discipleship.

Blessings,
