Rocktoberfest Report
on November 4, 2016

The Rocktoberfest event on Thursday, October 27 was a great success and a celebration of who God can bring together. Roy Simmons, owner of Rockingham Ready-Mix and Republic Truss in Harrisonburg, welcomed over 1,500 business vendors and customers to his venue to enjoy food, music, and an inspiring message. Rockingham Ready-Mix’s property is right next-door to Wingfield Ministries, so to share in partnership with an event like this one was valuable for both Roy and Steve.

Audra McLaughlin, one of the Victory Weekend performers, shared of her talents by singing the National Anthem and a few other songs. Steve then showed his appreciation for the crowd and thanked the 35 present veterans, military personnel, and first responders for serving our country. Each American hero received a medal and literature to help them along with their walk of following Jesus Christ.

Dale Blose, Director of Logistics, commented on how many people came up to both him and Steve to share their thoughts. “They said, ‘Thanks a lot for what you are doing.’ It meant a lot to them, and they felt honored. It helps us to know that we are doing the right thing.”

God continues to open doors for sharing the Good News in this community and around the nation. Steve is thrilled by faithfully following after God to use every available means to reach every available person!
