From Steve – November I: Faith, Family, and Friends
on November 2, 2016

Galatians 4:4-5 in the New Revised Standard Version assures of who we are, when we choose Christ. “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, in order to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as children.” Because of Jesus’ gift of giving His life, we are truly forgiven and adopted in an eternal family. I consider this Truth to be so valuable and precious, and I am grateful to consider God not just my Creator, but also my Father and Savior!

I also am grateful for the opportunities to enjoy time with family. On Saturday, October 29, in Lynchburg, Virginia, I went to a Wingfield family gathering. There, we had a great time eating, visiting, and looking through pictures. Then, on Monday, October 31, I went over to David’s house and went to trick-or-treat with Selah and Jubal. We visited the people who we know living in our block. What God does when my family gathers really is a true blessing. When I have so many responsibilities and duties on my plate, I enjoy my breaks from my schedule to enjoy the times I can with the family I love!

There are so many friends I have associated with the ministry. I enjoyed being with my friends at Salem Fields Community Church, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, from Saturday, October 22 to Wednesday, October 26. So many people came up and stated how it was such a powerful week of their lives. I recall how a couple came up to me, crying and stating, “You will not know what you did.” It truly was a weekend and week full of divine appointments, and I am thankful to God for what He achieved! Most people do not know how much I love people, outdoors, and life.  I truly love what we have in this life and how God has blessed us. Friends, I appreciate who you are and how consistently you have supported this ministry. I desire to seek God’s presence and peace in the midst of chaotic and troubling times.

Why not go throughout this life with a smile on my face? I cannot see a reason for living this life without the joy of Christ! May my update be an encouragement to you, and I look forward to drawing close to God through faith, family, and friends!
