What is most important to you? For me, after everything is said and done, I consider my faith, my family, and my friends, in that order, to be the most important features in my life.
I am enjoying my communion with the Father, who is always shaping me into the man I am supposed to be. I am reading through Acts now in a reflective way. God rocked Paul’s world with an entire 360 degree life-transformation, and God even changed his name! Going from Saul to Paul was a true transformation. While I know Saul cared about the Law, Paul too cared more about his faith, family, and friends in such extraordinary ways. Just read the letters of the New Testament, and you will see how much he cared! What passion and commitment Paul demonstrates is what I desire to see in my life, as I too work and rest for God alone.
This picture encompasses the joy and enjoyment Barbara and I had with Selah and Jubal, my grandchildren, at the zoo. On another night, I made dinner and enjoyed it with Selah and Jubal, and David, our son. Cooking is relaxing for me, but I rarely follow a recipe. Creativity is everything!
Last weekend, I went to a wedding in Pennsylvania, where Barbara’s college best friend celebrated her daughter getting married. This opportunity allowed me to have some relaxing time with Barbara, as well as see some friends who I had not seen in quite a while.
Early this week, I visited Smoke Hole, West Virginia. I enjoyed meeting the woman who sold us this breath-taking property, and meeting the friends who were with her. God continues to do great things at this property, and I am thrilled for what the future holds! I also enjoyed the time spent with my brothers in faith at a pastor’s Luncheon in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Catching up with them is truly a special and cherished time for me.
This week, I am in Dover, sharing about how Jesus is the only answer to life’s troubles, at four different settings on eight occasions. Thank you for your prayers and support during these opportunities to share how and see how Victory Weekend continues to glorify our Father.
Friends, keep seeking after the Lord, this month, this year, and always, and he will change you like he did Paul: to share Jesus continuously, which is truly most important!
Remembering The Most Important,
Steve
