We were blessed to have the help of 9 students from Eastern Mennonite High School on Friday, May 20, for our spring Clean-up Day. Students stayed busy and hydrated while trimming bushes and trees, removing weeds, and spreading mulch around the grounds on the first sunny and warm day after weeks of rain in our Harrisonburg, VA area.
Joseph Nunez, Director of Communications, led the students in our usual Devotion Time, which is a daily energizer for staff members, where he spoke about being quiet with God and prayed for the students to be safe and enjoy the experience.
Brandon Dove, Development Support Staff Specialist, introduced the work and worked alongside the students, getting to know them while also cleaning and clearing the grounds of the ministry. Dale Blose, Director of Logistics, lent a helping hand with trimming tree branches high atop the ladder.
Because of these efforts, the Ministry Center’s grounds are refreshed and ready for the summer. Thank you again, EMHS and students, for helping us!
