Steve Wingfield used one of his classic phrases of engagement when he spoke at Journey Christian Fellowship in Harrisonburg on April 3rd. “Lord, speak to me.” The church, pastored by SWEA Director of Ministry Relations Luke Weaver, warmly received Steve and Barbara and they enjoyed their visit as well.
Steve spoke about “The Lordship of Jesus Christ” using the story about the violent storm in Mark 4:35-41. His message was that Jesus cares for us in all of life’s situations and that we should be faithful to exercise our faith by calling on Him to speak to us because His ministry and majesty are all we need. His question the congregation was, “Are you calling Him to be who He already is in your life?”
